Stock Compatibility: 1964 vs current

Post by Yellowhouse »

I have a 700 carbine in 6mm that I plan on rigging up for my grandson. I know that Remington made some minor changes over the years to barrel diameters, etc. So, I'm wondering if a current Remington youth stock or one of the aftermarket stocks will fit it.

Thanks!

As long as it is advertised to fit, it will fit.

Year of manufacture should not matter.

AGAIN - my advice is to take it to a gunsmith. If you do not have a good gunsmith in your area, let us know and we will refer you to one that will do the work for you.

Average stock installation is about $20!
