I am somewhat confused with your statement. The serial number would put your gun in the first year of production 1905, however these guns were not marked Model 11, They were called Remington Automatic Shotgun in 1905 They were not assigned the model 11 name until 1911. Since yours is marked on the bolt I suspec someone has changed the Bolt out. What do you think Jay Huber RSA

The bolt in my gun lacks any markings and the finish wear/patina matches the rest of the gun. Simply based on that I think it is original to the gun. Except for the bolt markings, my gun has the same markings as you described (obviously different serial ). It does sound like Mr. Huber is right. Now my question...what does the forend on your gun look like? Plain walnut? Finger groove?
