Williams has a receiver sight for the 7600 that will work with your stock front sight . It's the WGRS . I like to have some magnificatian because we ( like you ) have antler restrictions . I had to let a buck walk onetime because I couldnt tell if it was legal due to a Red Dot with no magnificatian . Food for thought , I went to low power scopes for my woods guns . 1 3/4 - 5 or 2 - 7 X 32 work well . If you have a newer 7600 with the raised comb , peep sights ain't going to work for you . Unless you remove the raised comb , it's not a big job though .

I hunt mixed hardwoods and sometimes you can see a deer moving a hundred yards away . My old eyes don't focus like they did when they were 20-15 . I don't shoot immature deer either , haven't in a long time . A scope is also good for evaluating antlers too , so you know exactly what you're looking at ! Don't you agree , oh mighty Trophy Hunter ?

I have owned about 16 or more Remington Gamemasters in my 35 year hunting career and my family owns another 10 Gamemasters and they all wear one sort or another of a SEE THRU scope mount.

One brand that comes to mind is the Kwik Site, another is a Genuine Remington See Thru mount, such as was sold in the Kmarts and Walmarts at one time or another.

Putting the scope above the open sights allows you to look through the scope easier and in time you will forget about using open sights. JMHO.

Let's not forget the old Weaver pivot mounts for the 760 . I have a few of those too .
