Model 11 marking?

Model 11 marking?

Got a Model 11 with a small boat anchor stamped on the barrel, near the reciever. What is the signifigance of this?

Go to the RSA Home Page. Click on the heading Manufaxture Date. Find the heading "Barrel Code Location Diagram and click on that heading. You should find your answer there.

No, that's for Manufacture date data. I'm familiar w/ the BLACKPOWDER codes, etc.

This is either a proof mark or acceptance stamp of some sort. Like I stated, it's a boat anchor stamp.

If you go to the site, you will see your marking. I understand what you are seeing and felt the diagraam would give you the information you want. It is an inspectors stamp.
