Hi, I would not restore you take all of character away. Just like when you fell and got cut you have a scar take it away you got nothing.It work just find for Grandpa why not for you? Wipe it down with Old English Furniture polish.If you want a new gun go buy one and shoot it.

Hi, you said the stock is in pieces is the wood sound?If it is it can be put back together.You chances of finding a original stock slim and none. I would fix the stock not do much more.You can buy a good 1882 for less than what going to cost you to restore yours.I know its not Grandpa's gun, but just like it.Thanks.
