Remington 660 ?

New member here hope you guys can help me out. I recently purchased a 660 in 350 mag. Metal is a solid 90 to 95 percent. Stock is about 90 typical hunting wear. One problem with the stock it is a 600 stock. The gun dates to may of 68. Is it possible this could be a factory use up parts situation from the 600s discontinued the previous year? If I were to sell the stock what value does it have? The rifle came with a synthetic stock as well. So I might sell the wood stock and keep the rifle as a shooter if it shoots. It was just to good of a deal to pass up. The rifle with both stocks and leupold base and rings for $550. But you know how it goes I have one more rifle that I am asking myself what am I going to do with. Thanks for any help.
