No. Don't even think about it. If you want magnum velocities and extra distance, get yourself a gun designed for the .22 Winchester mag cartridge to begin with. (or some smaller .22 centerfire that can be reloaded.......like a .22 Hornet, .222 Rem or .223 Rem.)

You have no idea whether the action could handle the extra pressure.
The gunsmithing charges would probably be more than buying an actual .22 magnum.
Then, there would probably be the hospital expenses incurred when the gunsmith fell down laughing (and hurt himself) at what you were proposing.

You've asked twice. I'll chip in and agree that it just ain't a good idea.
If you have a Yugo you could probably fit a Corvette engine in it. It might be good for one short fast ride. Your M/33 in 22 mag could be done and the one shot would probably be exciting.
