After market Remington stocks?

Post by 260rem »

Does any know of a manufacture of synthetic stocks for Remington Field-master pump .22's
I have one with a broken fore grip and my local gun shop has been screwing me around for about a year now!!!
I am sick of playing there games and want to replace it myself even a replacement wood stock would do in a pinch but I would much rather a synthetic.

Cheers

Are you referring to the Model 572? If that’s the case, then go online to http://www.e-gunparts.com. According to Numrich, the 572 stock will interchange with Remington 740, 742, 7400, 760, and 7600 models, among others. If you don’t mind your stock being different from your forend then you shouldn’t have a problem finding a stock for one of these compatible models. If you want a matching gun, which I think most people do, you can search online for stock repair.

If you decide to purchase a synthetic stock, I would highly recommend either confirming with the vendor that the stock will fit or carrying it yourself to a gun shop/gun show and testing it before you buy. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

I hope this helps.

I will have a look but the fore end is pretty much cactus, it cracked around the nut and split right through.
I'm getting it back from the shop soon and I will try and post a pic
