Is this a Model 4 rolling block?

i've got a remington single shot rolling block rifle with no model number stamp on it.

it does say "32 SHORT or LONG R.F."
serial #J281649

would this be a 32-20 winchester round?

gun also has an octagonal rifled barrel and does not have a safety.

i know that this was my great-grandfathers gun but i don't have any other info.

It is quite possible that your rifle is the No. 4. The caliber is "rim fire" as in RF. The .32-20 is a center fire and is way too long and too powerful for your rifle. .32 RF is available from Navy Arms.
