service manual for a New Model Pocket

Post by steak2 »

hello all. I am hoping to find a copy of schematics/service maual for the New Model Pocket, the hand spring in my 32 rimfire is either broken or became detached while I was plinking with it this afternoon.
I am not really wanting to tear into this pistol without having at least a diagram to referrence.
Thanks to all

I don't know of a diagram of the pocket model, but disassembly is simple. It sounds like the hand spring broke. Remove the grips. Take the cylinder out. Take the main spring out. Take the spur trigger housing off with one screw,. Take the bolt/trigger spring out by removing one screw. Take the Trigger screw out of the side of the frame and remove all parts. Take the hammer screw out and push the hammer out the bottom of the frame. This will bring the hand out and the broken or disconnected hand spring will be exposed or will fall out. If broken-replace , if disconnected reinsert in slit in hand and use a pointed punch to tighten up in the slot. I do not know where to get hand springs, maybe Dixie Gun Works. They are not hard to make from old clock springs. Jay Huber RSA
