Falling Block 32W

Post by Tim Johnson »

 I have recently aguired from my father a 32-20 center fire falling block rifle... It is marked E.Remington&Sons.Ilion.N.Y. up by the rear site and has a 3506 under the stock on the metal by the triger guard. It has no patent numbers nor any other markings. I would like to know if anyone might have seen one of these before and if they might know how old it may be or if it has a model number?
Just Curious,

Tim:

You probably have a No. 2 Rolling Block rifle. It could be a No. 1 or No. 1 1/2, but most in that caliber were the smaller No. 2s.
