Model 11 Barrel length

Model 11 Barrel length

I'm thinking about purchasing another model 11. The one that i'm looking at has a 24" barrel (i'm taking the owners word for it) serial #245XXX. Would this be a standard length? I always thought that 28" and 30" were the norm. Thanks for your help.
