Post by Lance Johnson »

Just picked up a nice 41-P TargetMaster..... Mine does not have a peep sight and I was wondering if it should?

Thanks

If it has not ended yet. There was one on Ebay. I believe I saw it searching remington 22.

There are two different "Point Crometer" (Remington's term) rear sights for the M/41-P. Either will work, but the early ones have to be flipped up to remove the bolt.

If you guys stumble onto anything drop me a post

Serial # 77677

There is a small WF stamped to the left of the bolt by its self.... does this mean it was made August 1937 ?

Didnt think it would be that old.?.?.?.?.? I figured it would have been made around the 70's

The M/41 was made from 1936 through 1939 so 1937 sounds right.

You have the earlier version in the photo. The sight has to be tipped up to remove the bolt. The aperture on the later ones was farther (longer shank ahead of aperture) back so the bolt could be removed without disturbing the settings.
