You have a Model 121-B. The "B" is often "scratched" after the Model number. It should not have the grooves in the forearm, but rather checkered panels. The pistol grip should also be checkered. The wood should be a slight upgrade over standard models. There should be no engraving on the metal.

The "B" Grade was listed in some of my factory info as introduced in February 1939. It was listed as having "select walnut - checkered". The few I have seen were made in the late 40's. It sounds like yours was made a little later than that.

Unless your 121-B already has the hole drilled in the stock for the Marble, I would recommend getting a Lyman peep. They do not require the stock to be drilled.

It should be the R7. I don't know where you might find one. Keep trying the Gun auction sites.

The tang sight is screwed into the reciever or the stock. You are going to have a hard time finding parts. You may have to buy a whole new sight. Like John said if it is not screwed into the stock I would buy a Lyman. They are nicer sights anyways. I would watch Ebay.

Unless you are sure that the base hasn't been damaged, I would try for a replacement sight. The top half is going to be hard to find. The most common sight for your rifle would be the R12, but I have an earlier box marked "No. 2, for Remington Repeater, Model 12". I assume that sight might be harder to find...
