Is this a model 12 ?

I have just acquired a nice little .22 cal pump rifle, It says it is a Pedersen's Patent- Jany 05,1909. The serial # is 25697 and I find that the month JANY being abbreviated like this was unusual. Can you tell me any thing about this little pump gun ? ie date of mfg. etc.
