There were no factory camo synthetic stocks in 1979.....for almost anything. According to my catalogs, the synthetic stocks didn't appear on the 1100's until the late 1990's.tomtom wrote:I have been looking for a replacement camo synthetic stock for my 1979 1100, however am having trouble finding. I have been told that the 11-87/1100 will not fit, as these are for firearms mid-80's and on. Can anyone help me...is the above true, and if so, does anyone know where one can find a replacement camo synthetic stock for my 1979 1100. Thanks!!!
But, I have no idea why any synthetic stock designed for the 1100 or 11-87 wouldn't work. And, synthetic stocks (camo or otherwise) are available almost everywhere and are made by many manufacturers.
As I was typing this, I did an Internet search on "camo synthetic stock for Remington 1100" and got many pages of links. In fact, one of the links came back to this site with the partial text in the link: "The Model 1100 Synthetic was first offered with a synthetic stock and fore-end in 1996..."

So, whether you want a genuine "Remington" or one from one of the other manufacturers, there are lots of sources and prices available.
