UMC/REMINGTON military training rifle??

I have a UMC military target rifle, really would like to know more about it. Like what branch of the military used it, aproximate value in exe. condition. The rifle I am speaking of is a bolt action, clip fed 22 cal.. It has hooded front sight and 3 fold down rear leafs marked 25m,50m,100m.. It has a metal millitary butt plate with the cleaning kit storage hole. It has UMC2 V4455 1974 stamped in it.
WOULD APPRECEICIATE ANY HELP!!! I CAN GET!

dear fred. my name is david ingerson. i also have one of these 22 rifles. i have no information at all on it and would like to know if u have aquired any? i recieved the gun from my grandfather that passed away. the only problem is that there is no bolt or clip. is there any hope.?
