A little info from the early gun gurus would be appreciated.
I have found an early Remington Autoloader (1909? 77,xxx) and would like a little info.
This gun has a straight stock and solid rib barrel (28" full) serialized to the receiver.
How rare were the straight stocks?
How rare were solid ribs on the early guns?
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: PRE-11 Autoloader
I'm away from my research materials, but the solid rib was a six dollar option and the vent rib was $13 extra in the early years of the "Remington Autoloading Gun" and I'd say from my observations that every bit as many of the early guns had straight stocks as had the half-pistol grip.
