Remington 552 572 Butt Stock Interchangeable ?

I have a butt stock for a 1970's model 552 Speedmaster, can this stock be used on a similar vintage 572 Fieldmaster? It looks to me like it will work but I would like a more expert opinion. Thanks!

Remington part numbers are the same for like stocks on the pumps and autoloaders. Conversion should be simple.
