Date of Manufacture-Model 700 Tactical
I recently purchased a used Remington Model 700 Tactical in .223. I have been trying to find when it was manufactured(serial #G6735225) It looks like a SPS, but it doesn't say that on the barrel. It just says Tactical.

Click on the Remington Society of America logo at the top of the page and go to the home page and look at the link that says manufacture dates and also the link that says barrel code location diagram and read the marks on the side of the barrel.
That should tell you the month and year your firearm was made.
