STOCK EXCHANGE 581 ACTION TO 541X STOCK

Hi People!! New to this website and already have a question...I have a Remmy model 581 and can buy a model 541X military CMP stock. Will my 581 action fit the 541X stock? I was told it would by an armchair gunsmith....Rather have an expert's advice....Thanks for any help you can give and here's PRAYING Mac and Sarah have a change of address come November....TMBJAK
