Remington Model 25R saddle ring carbine

I recently picked up a Model 25R, a carbine with a saddle ring on it. I know of only one other with a saddle ring and am curious to know if anyone else has one or knows of others with a saddle ring. You can contact me directly at hemphill@gvtel.com.

Before I changed to collecting only Rem 22s, I bought a collection that included 2 or 3 14Rs. I don't remember what was different about the saddle rings or the studs, but they were not the same as the ones used on the W brand.

I compared this one with the one on my 14R SRC and it is exactly the same one, in all respects, that was used on the 14s. Both of them I have information on have the ring mounted in about a 10 o'clock position from the takedown screw. By the way, I love your book on the .22s.
