#33 need Id help and info please help
Have model 33 and need ID help I think it was mfg in 27 but I'm not 100% sure. I can't find a serial # anywhere. I dont know if I should refinish and restore it or sell it to a collector. The M/33 was made from July 1931 to November 1935. The barrel code (link on home page) will tell you the month and year of production. If it needs to be refinished, it has little value to a collector. Even in like new condition they don't bring enough to get real excited...
Having said that, the M/33 is a neat little gun. It is well made considering it was Remington's first bolt action 22 and was an entry level rifle.
