The John Browning designed autoloading shotgun was first introduced by Remington Arms Co. in 1905 as the Remington Autoloading Gun. In 1911 Remington Arms Co. was combined with Union Metallic Cartridge Co. as Remington Arms -- Union Metallic Cartridge Co. and after that time the terms No. 11 or Model No. 11 came into use. In 1920 the company was again reorganized and became Remington Arms Co., Inc. From the old factory record book available on this site, http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/FR09 begins with September 30, 1919, and shows the high serial number as of that date as 199611. So, about the best I can offer is your gun was made during the teens.

I have found this information

12 gauge – approximately 10,000 – 794,990
16 gauge – approximately 1,500,000 – 1,557,000
20 gauge – approximately 1,000,000 – 1,075,000

And I have a doubt, did the shotguns of the cal begin 12 in the number of series 10000-794.990?

If this information is true, my shotgun has to be of the first tenns because the N º of series is 143131 for what it can be of 1910, 1911,1912.

He can be like I I think?

It is a shame that Remington does not have documented all the dates of manufacture of this shotgun because not that age can have.

Thank you very much for your response.

I ask for excuses for my English evil.
