I have aquired an old Remington rifle and need some help in geting info on it.
Its a bolt action and has a cartridge that i think holds about 7 rounds.
there is no serial number and the only numbers that it has at all is 35 REM on the top side just before the barrel
and on the underside has 713 stamped where u load the cartridge.
The Cartridge also has 713 stamped on it.
any info would be appreciated, thank you

Re: Remington Rifle Help
You need to send photos. There is not enough information. The only bolt action Remingtons that I can quickley recall are the model30 and model 600. Your model 600 would have a serial number. If your barrel is marked 35 Rem. Only shoot 35 Remingtons out of it. If I were to guess it kind of sounds like your confusing a bolt action with a semi auto and you have a remington model 8. The 35 rem stamp will be right on top of the action. This is all a guess because I need more info or pictures.

Thank you for the Info, i will look into that model and see if i can get more on it.
Another question is that there is a small screw on the side of the cartridge, not sure what its for but it stops the cartridge from loading in the rifle.
