grandpa's gun

i have my grandfathers first gun, it is an early .32 caliber rolling block rifle, he recieved it from his grandfather about 1930, i'd like to get some info on the gun, such as, manufacture date, cartridge length, so i can figure out what it is & some kind of value.heres what i know, its a remington & sons .32 caliber rolling block, serial # is 1086 (which is on rear of trigger guard) gun is probably in "good " condition, could be fired. gun overall length is 41.5 inches long, barrel length is 26 1/8 to breech block, has adjustable rear sight, all is functional. octagon barrel (ofcourse) only thing wrong w/gun is part of front sight is broken off, base of front sight is rectangular. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated...
