Model 81 Woodsmaster Aperature Sight

Hello all, I've got a Model 81 Woodsmaster in .35 Rem. It has an interesting peep sight on it that I'd like to learn more about. It is all steel and has a lever adjustment for elevation. It has a tiny slotted screw for windage adjustment. The only markings on the sight is a peep sight looking at a deer. Or a deer seen through a peep sight, might better describe it. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds like a Lyman 41 R. Their is a picture of one mounted on a Remington Model 8 in the book "The Great Eight". Says they were discontinued between 1932 and 1940. I have a Marble R-6 on mine.
