Remington Model 541X

Ok folks, I've done it. In case there's anyone paying attention out there!
I took that new-in-box, unfired target rifle out and sighted it in, shot up a bunch of cans, and generally had a great time using it for what it was designed, and collector value (if any) be d@mned!
Shoots 1 inch groups at 60 yds with bargain basement $8.99 a brick .22 "viper" cartridges. I'm going out with it next weekend with an assortment of high quality target ammo to see if I can figure out what it likes the most.

I might scan some of the targets and post them here if I can come up with any really spectacular results.

Sorry.

If anyone is listening, let alone interested, I'll be trying out 5 different brands of target ammo this weekend. Hoping to find one that this rifle favors. I picked up an assortment at my local gunshop. Ranging in price from 1.95 a box to 5.95 a box. He also had some as high as 10.95, but I decided to stick with the medium to low price ammo first.
I'll post my results back here.
