Ive got a model 11-48 16ga. I was having issues with the gun autoloading for the second shot. The first shell would never be discharged after firing. I havent been able to fire the gun after giving it a good cleaning (and finding a bunch of crud in the receiver around the breech and action area).
I was wondering if the recoil spring and spring assembly would have anything to do with the gun reloading, or if it more a factor of the breech/receiver.
Any tips will be greatly appreciated. I have contact remington and hopefully they will send me an owners manual for the gun soon. I would like to take it apart again after i get some better cleaning supplies and really give the gun a good cleaning.
What is the best way to go about cleaning these models? Is there a better way to clean it, and what is the best kind of oil to put a couple drops here and there for them?
