old mod 512

i have an old 22 mod 512 that im trying to find out when it was made,,the barrel markings are hard to see and may not be stamped in compleatly,, on the left side is an O L than what looks like a G or a 1/4 moon but kinda pointy at the top and thick at the bottom,,the right side has a U that is pointed at the top ends and thick at the bottom like a O incompleat than what could be an 8 but alot of the top is gone but there looks like a wisker of a line in the center and a N,,any ideas

If the date code is O L, your rifle was made in July 1942. It should not have a serial number if it was made after 1941.
