Remington 11-48

Post by Burntmypiston »

New here and sure am glad I found this place. I'm thinking about buying a Remington 11-48. Seems to be in good mechanical condition but cosmetically it needs help. Wood is without any cracks and the metal is rust free. I think it's a good candidate for refinishing both. The seller only wants $215 for it. I don't know alot about this model so any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I picked-up my 11-48 yesterday. I bought it off of GunBroker and payed $283 delivered. I bought it to refinish but now that it's here, it looks ten times better than the pictures. Usually works the other way around. The shotgun is beautiful and certainly not a candidate for a project. Called Remington and it was made in 1954. 30" plain full choke barrel.
