I am seeking further information on this Remington Rolling Block rifle. It is a total of 45" L and is marked "E. Remington & Sons. Ilion, N.Y." It has the following partially legible patent dates: May 31, 1864; May 7, 1866; ... Sept 8, 1873; ... and March ?, 1874. It is marked "1082."
Any information about model or caliber is greatly appreciated!!

Re: Remington RR Identification
I’m certainly NOT SURE, but it might be a 7mm Mauser caliber that has lost its’ handguard.
