My grandson is shooting my mother’s 22 in 4H. He’s 10 she would have been 100 this month.
It’s a Remington Model 514
Date code appears to be AC5, both the X and 5 are hard to read
He would like to know the age and best place to get parts. I’m thinking firing pin and extractor with associated pins and springs.
The gun operates well but I can tell the firing pin is peened and a little bent.
Any suggestions as to what other parts that should be replaced?
