This gun has higher grade wood and shows checkering. The wood has the serial number stamped under the tang and matches the frame. Serial nimber is: 1xx000.
In all my time perusing GB and GI, I have not seen another with this type of higher grade furniture.
Were higher grade No. 9's an option to order?
Any way to find out if this was an option, or the number of guns made in the higher grade?
