what stocks fit Rem 700

OK, I searched and found no hits, so, what "other" rifle stocks will fit the Remington 700 long action?

Ruger, Savage, Mossberg, Tikka, Bergara, Browning, etc.., etc..,

any makers that fit m700?

does anyone have firsthand experience in the matter.

custom stock makers are good, but the months long waiting times are ridicules.

There really isn't any "other" stocks that fit. While there are some clones of the M700 action what usually isn't cloned is the barrel contour, or the bottom metal.

If you are in a hurry then look for a "take off" stock, a "drop in" stock or a "chassis" stock. Any of these choices should have you back to shooting fairly soon.

What are you looking for in a stock? Did you just want wood or composite? You can find stocks off the shelf for the Remington 700 Long Action from many places; Magpul makes one you can buy on Amazon, MidwayUSA, Brownells, BassPro, Cabela's. You can get wood stocks from Microfit Stocks (required finishing) and Boyds (Mostly drop-in), and Composite stocks from Houge as well.

You can also just buy another Remington take-off stock on eBay or a Bergara B14 stock
