What appears to be a 12ga Double Barrel Pistol

Post by RemGunGuy »

We found this in a house we were going through that we recently purchased. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Missing the barrel's. Serial number is 250136.

You have a Remington Model 1889 Grade 1 double barrel made in 1905. The stock has been modified into a pistol configuration. Your shotgun is missing the barrels and fore end.

Thanks mike!!! I appreciate the information. I was looking around and the thing i saw with a similar stock was an 1880's coach gun. Thought i might have had something special. Oh well. Lol!!

The action has valuable parts for restorers, specifically the distinctive hammers as many were lost over the century of use.
