Newbie, looking for Model 12 info
Newbie, looking for Model 12 info
I stumbled across this site looking for info on a Model 12 that I received. Looks to be a lot of good info here.

What information are you inquiring about for your Model 12? You can email remshots@remingtonsociety.org for information as well as see what the forum will provide.

Welcome! You’re definitely in the right place—there’s a lot of knowledge here about Model 12s. If you can share a few details (like serial number, markings, or photos), people here can help you identify it and give more specific info.

New to Rem Society: Have many questions about Model 12A's & 12C's. I've preserved some good examples, restored a few basket cases & will be rebuilding trigger assemblies (bench time next Winter). Always looking for parts and clarity on Variation compatibilities between Action Bars, Carrier Dogs and Carriers. I look forward to advice and insights. Thank you, Daniel[img][img]

Re: Newbie, looking for Model 12 info
Just made a nice discovery on a "rough" 1928 Rem12 that I've had for a while. When cleaning up the barrel & feeder tube I noticed that the finish was "different" under the bluing. It was only after I acquired a trigger guard on eBay that was advertised as "Nickel" & did some research that I revisited the 1928. Sure enough, under the bluing were a nickel-plated barrel, outer feeder tube, front sight, feeder tube band & receiver! The shine is all gone/dull except for under the wooden forend most likely why someone blued it.
I've attached a few pix.
