Remington Model 30R Express
Remington Model 30R Express
Looking for a little insight on my Model 30. Manufacture date is 27 but it has the initials PSP D29 stated in the right side of the butt stock. I would imagine that this is not from the factory. Has anyone heard of these or other rifles being stamped this way. I'm thinking maybe it's an armory or prison marking. any thoughts on the subject are very appreciated. thanks in advance
Re: Remington Model 30R Express
I have a database on model 30s and record three carbines that belonged to the Pennsylvania State Police. The ones on my record were June and July, 1927 production. If your serial was close, I think we could assume yours might be one of these police guns.
