If you already own it - what does it matter what anyone else has to say.

You didn't even say what caliber it was.

I think it's a reasonable question. Since it's not a .22, I don't have any answers though.

Sorry about that. Its a 30-06. Take it easy on a new guy here. LOL To be honest, I got it from a man that's owed me some money for awhile. I took what I could get. I figured something was better than nothing. Anyway, can someone tell me if they own one and any opinions good or bad? I searched here, but couldnt come up with anything. Thanks

The Remington 740/742/7400 autos are good guns, as long as they aren't "worn out", which is not too likely for a hunting type rifle. I have owned a 742 and a 7400 (both in '06) and they worked well and were more accurate than you would think. They are very popular deer rifles in the Southeast.

Here in AZ one in very good+ condition will bring about $300. If you are a hunter, see how she shoots--you may decide to keep it!
