I have a .32 remington model 51; the slide is stick open, I can close it down to get to the take down pin. The grip safety appears to be compressed and "stuck" as well.
I cannot see the extractor when I look at breech block. I believe this may be what is causing the Jam and leaving the slide stuck open. I have tried drawing the slide back all the way (about 1/4" more) and gently shaking; I have tried different angles, left right up and down. Have mercy I am at a loss. Has anyone delt with this? Any suggestions or is there another way to take this thing apart with the slide stuck open like this?

This can be hard to diagnose sight unseen. It might be best to let your gunsmith take a look at it. It might be gummed up from old oils and crud, a broken part that prevents internal parts from moving, a case stuck in the chamber or a bulged barrel.
