Question on Model 11 Receiver
I found a Model 11 Receiver complete but no barrel. The gun shop had it listed as a 20ga. The Serial number is 1541756. I have a feeling this is a 16ga....not a 20ga as the gun shop has listed. Is there any way I can validate this. It seems like all of the 20ga serial numbers I have seen start 10XXXXX. And I know the 16ga's started at 15XXXXX. Is my hunch correct?

You are correct. A 16-gauge receiver put in work during November 1940.
