Model 12 Rebluing

Hey I recently got a Model 12 from 1911 that is about to go through a full restoration and I wanted to try and do a factory style bluing because original is 1% Would this have been rust blued or black oxide and also did Remington have a unique way of finishing their stock or did they just do a standard oil finish in 1911
