With a growing unlikely outcome of finding an IMP-CYL or SKEET choke tube for the Lyman Cutt's choke system... I've considered sending the barrel off to one of the choke manufacturers to adapt screw in chokes to the body of the Lyman Cutt's muzzle device. This would make the Lyman Cutt's choke body simply a holder for screw in choke tubes meant for modern Remington Rem-Choke tubes, or thin wall choke tubes from a variety of manufacturers.
Seems like a possibility. My shotgun is away at Miller's Gunsmith in Jacksonville NC getting a thorough cleaning. Dried oils and grease had things glued together pretty good. Rick Miller took it and said he would have it functional soon. I figure next week.
When it returns I'll take some measurements and check feasibility to make an adapter out of the muzzle device meant to be a Cutt's compensator. Doing away with the ports will mean quieter muzzle blast for others sharing the field.
I am soliciting comments by posting this... please speak your mind.
Retrofit 11-48 Cutt's Muzzle Device to accept screw in chokes.

Hi dhenzler, Have you checked, or do you know, if the .410 size Cutts choke tubes are unique to .410 bore? I have a 11-48 in 28ga and it has a Cutts that 20ga tubes fit. jandyford

Hi, I was curious and checked Ebay for Cutts choke tubs and there are three choke tubs in .410 listed today. I hope this helps.

Thank you. I have seen what's on eBay and may consider an offer. However they are modified by who knows who and shoot some undocumented pattern...So my quest continues for the time being.
I wrote a couple gunsmiths that do shotgun barrel jobs and have received one answer which I'm only going to do last ditch.
Removing the Cutt's choke body means my barrel will be 21" or so... then if reamed for a thin wall choke would be something I could deal with. However it's a bit short in my opinion. It may be just fine. But you can't undo once it's done. At some point you're stuck with something less than desirable.
If you find something please contact me at my skeet club email address ==> shoot@ccskeett.com
Thanks
Dave

Thanks for looking. But those on eBay are not stock tubes, they are purpose built for whomever made them, and of little value unless patterned. My gunsmith had a well used alloy tube which he gave me. It's tired looking, but completes the Cutt's device. I shot the 410 yesterday from Sta 1 and broke 3 of 5 targets. Not bad considering I was focused on gun function as well as breaking targets.
Now searching for a replacement butt plate. This one is 4-7/8 long and 1-1/2 wide. Looks like a Remington plate
