Recently inherited Remington 1100 410
My Dad passed and left me many guns. One is a Rem 1100LW, engraved, in 410 gauge. Is it acceptable for me to provide the serial number to get help dating the gun? Thank you, Jake

Remington uses barrel date codes for year of manufacture, for the shotguns the prefix and suffix of the serial number can give some identification of the model.
