Help with Remington 760 sportsman 308

I bought this remington 760 has a badge on it says NYS 109 DCS . like to find out how rare they are and what a value would be on it and info on who would of had this seems weird to be a police rifle . Thanks

I don't recognize the shield or it's inscription. I don't think it adds anything to the value, but if the shield could be assigned to a particular department then value may be added for a category of collectors.

There are many many departments and agencies, don't get stuck on "police" in your search.

I was just hoping some one knows a bit about them ..I know there's collecters that collect the government marked guns I say police but yea I see DEA , POLICE and other agencies have them.. I know station 109 is in queens but that's if that's what it stands for on the gun. Why I hoped some one knows more about them. And what the value would be on it since all my guns in my collection are wrote down with value of them just in case something happens to me and the kids need to sell them.
