Hello,
I have a Remington 1100 410 GA. It is Serial Number R235805H
Any idea when this gun was manufactured?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
Remington 100 Manufacture date
Re: Remington 100 Manufacture date
I thought there was a 3 letter code on the barrel that helps with date…found the below on the net….
You can determine the approximate manufacture date of a Remington 1100 by checking the barrel date code, which is stamped on the left side of the barrel near the receiver. The serial number alone doesn’t provide the exact production date since Remington used a letter-based barrel code system.
Steps to Date the Shotgun:
1. Locate the Barrel Code – Look on the left side of the barrel near the receiver. There should be a two- or three-letter code.
2. Decode the Letters – The first letter represents the month, and the second letter represents the year of manufacture.
If you provide the barrel code, I can give you the exact production date.
If the shotgun still has its original barrel, this method will be accurate. If the barrel was replaced, then the serial number might need factory records for exact dating.

The R prefix to the serial number began in 1990 and ran for about five years.
