Model 12..but what model exactly?
Hi Remington experts. I'm new here. I have a Model 12 marked .22 Short, Long and Long Rifle. Serial number is 247989. Barrel length is 24" There is an "S" marked on the right side of the feeder tube just behind the slide handle and an "F" over what appears to be an "L" on the left side of the barrel just before the receiver. I cannot find a model number (12 or 12C or 12A, etc) stamped anywhere. Can anyone determine the exact model I have?

Looks like a Model 12C "Target" Grade to me. From the 1915-16 Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. catalog --
