Help identifying my 700

Has a J stamped on the barrel. 30/06 Springfield caliber. No letters in serial number.

Later in November, 1962. First year rifle. Looks to be a BDL "custom deluxe". Should have desirable 20 inch barrel with a hooded front sight, hinged floorplate, factory sling swivel studs and white line spacers on pistol grip and butt pad.

It does have all those things you mentioned. Thanks for the info. This was my grandfather's rifle and was curious how old it is.
