Remington 550-1

Post by dhenzler »

I have just acquired an older 550-1 in nice shape. But would like to know more about it's age. Attached are some photos of it. The last photo shows a barrel marking looks like 22 with a squiggle... any idea? If you can provide mfg date info I'd really appreciate a PM

it was built in February, 1949. The rifle looks like it is in great shape.

Thanks for the information Tom. I've grown to appreciate some of the Remington rifles and shotguns. Wish I were younger so I would have more years to collect and display them.
