Rem. Model 8 factory sling eyes?

Hey guys, how can you tell if the sling eyes on these early Remingtons are factory or aftermarket? I've seen the simple circular attachments, but these are elongated and rectangular where inletted into the stock and attached to the barrel shroud. Anyone know of the styles, have pictures, etc.? Thanks!
